Welcome to the Kiwanis Club of Grant Ranch website. We meet every Friday morning from 7 to 8 AM at the IHOP on Bowles and Long Drive. The address is 7733 W Long Drive, Littleton CO 80123; phone #303-904-9609. Kiwanis is an international service organization comprised of 600,000 adult and youth members in 91 nations whose mission is to improve the quality of life for children and families worldwide. Service Slogan "Serving the Children of the World" History The first Kiwanis club was organized in Detroit, Michigan, in 1915. Kiwanis became international with the organization of the Kiwanis Club of Hamilton, Ontario, in 1916. Kiwanis limited its membership to the United States and Canada until 1962, when worldwide expansion was approved. Since then, Kiwanis has spread to all the inhabited continents of the globe.

Kiwanis Board Minutes December 14, 2011 Called to Order: 6:31 PM Attendees: Tom Ashe, Ginger Barnhart, Dave Collings, Bill Duddleson, George Kinzer, Maryann Krzemien, Tom Krzemiem, Kay Thacker, Bill West and Sarah West November’s budget was approved. 2010 -2011 Budget Review was completed by Tom Krzemium. Tom recommended that George Kinzer, Treasurer be added to the signature card at UNB Bank. Bill Duddleson will get this done. Board approved the Budget Review. Yearly dues need to be paid to Kiwanis International, but International is showing we have 27 members and we only have 22. George Kinzer will take care of correcting the membership count and pay the bill. Kiwanis Foundation Annual Gift will be paid once George gets the membership count corrected.
Minutes: November Board Minutes - Approved Old Business: Builders Club for Grant Ranch K—8 we need the name of teacher interested in the program. Tom Ash will contact Sandy for the name. 501c3 (Tax Exempt Status) has the report been sent to Joan Wilson at Kiwanis International? Check with Steve Stith and if done or he needs help. George volunteered Hazel to help Steve. Bill Duddleson will talk with Steve. BJ Jeffers no longer a member. Grant Ranch PTO to become a Corporate Member will have to complete the Corporate Membership Application. Kiwanis Shirts – Ginger will go to Littleton Imprints for the cost to embroidery the Kiwanis Logo on shirts. See if we can purchase our own shirts and they just do the embroidery. Name tag and neck holder – Bill will check at weekly meeting if anyone needs them. Salvation Army Bell Ringer needed at Sam’s club Friday, December 9, Tom Ashe volunteered, and Saturday, December 10, 4-6:00 PM. George will pick up the supplies from Salvation Army and send out the guidelines to all the bell ringers. George and Hazel will drop off the pail each morning and pickup the pail and the money each evening. Please only give the pail and money to a member of our Kiwanis Club. Need a phone rooster for the members that are ringing the Salvation Army bell – Ginger will send to all bell ringers. Need a phone number and e-mail address list of all members – Ginger will send to all members.
New Business: Talk with Blue Heron Elementary School and Grand Ranch K-8 how we can help the students improve their academic skills.
